Baptism is the sign which Jesus himself appointed for becoming a member of his Church. It is a promise of forgiveness and freedom, hope and new life.
We welcome for baptism anyone who wishes to follow Jesus Christ for themselves, and any children whose parents wish them to grow up to follow him.
Adults seeking baptism will normally be confirmed at the same time after a course of preparation. Children are baptised on the understanding that they will be taught about the Christian Faith as they grow up.

When a couple marry in Church they are calling on God to witness the vows they make to one another. They are also asking for his blessing on their future life together, praying for him to be at the centre of their relationship, their home and their family life.
God is love, and all genuine love has its origin in God.

Jesus died and was raised to life.
This is the message at the heart of the Christian Good News - the Gospel.
In the face of death, the message gives hope in place of despair, and consolation in sadness.

The four main Christian congregations in Bingham - St. Mary's along with Bingham Baptist Church, Bingham Methodist Church, and the Bingham congregation of St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church - are committed to working together.
We have all signed a "Covenant for Unity". This is an
undertaking to share together, to support one another, and to work alongside each other in the common purpose of serving God.
There is one faith, for there is one God and one Lord Jesus Christ.
MINISTRY TO THE SICK AND NEEDY
We try to uphold the sick and the distressed through prayer, through visiting and through practical help. For the housebound who wish for it we can take Holy Communion to them in their homes.
Please inform the Rector on 837335 if you know of anyone who would appreciate any ministry the Church can give.
It often helps to talk to someone outside your immediate family, who can listen with understanding and who may be able to give practical advice when someone you love dies.
This is a help line which has the approval and support of Bingham Churches Together.
